Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

"The church and the world have a great need of Eucharistic worship.  Jesus waits for us in this Sacrament of Love.  May our adoration never cease."
Pope John Paul II

Please consider adopting an hour of adoration.  There are also hours available for prayer partners.  Call Lana Bastin for more information.

In response to our Holy Father's call for Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, Saints Peter and Paul Church inaugurated this devotion on January 6, 2002.  The Church is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.  Someone is always present; Parishioners are scheduled to be present for Adoration around the clock for one hour, one day per week at their choosing.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by at anytime for as long as they wish to stay.  The Blessed Sacrament is reposed only during Mass.  Parishioners are welcome to sign up for an Adoration assignment of their choosing.  Please contact the Parish Office for more information at (270) 885-8522.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Mt. 11:28

Please consider spending an hour of Eucharistic Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament here at SS Peter & Paul.  For hours that are available for adoption, stop by the Adoration Table to view a current listing.  Please consider adopting any of these hours.

Prayer for the Year of the Eucharist

Heavenly Father,
in this year dedicated to the Holy Eucharist,
we render thanksgiving and homage to You
for the precious gift of Your Risen Son,
Who continues to remain with His Church until the end of time
in the celebration of Mass and
His abiding presence in all of our churches.

Through the presence of the Holy Spirit
alive in the Church,
may we become ever more aware
of the sustaining Life and Gift that is Jesus
in the Most Blessed Sacrament,
source and summit of the life and mission
of the Church.

In our prayer and contemplation
of the Holy Eucharist,
grant to the faithful of this local Church
in the Diocese of Pittsburgh
the forgiveness of sins,
holiness of life,
communion of faith,
nourishment for the work
that You entrust to our hands,
and bold proclamation
of Your Kingdom yet to come.

May the patronage of Mary Immaculate,
first living tabernacle of the Lord Jesus,
assist us in worthily sustaining the presence of Jesus in our midst.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, Who lives and reigns
with You and the Holy Spirit,
One God forever and ever. Amen.

Congratulations Adorers on five years of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration
January 6, 2007!

May God continue to bless us all!
